Monument of Athletes is located at Jozefa Wybickiego Street at the entrance to the athletic stadium. The monument was made of a big stone about 2.5 meters high in 1928. In 1965 it was moved to the vicinity of the university and it was dedicated to commemorate athletes who died fighting with the German occupation. In 1985 it was moved back to its original located and a stone board was attached to it with the dedication to fallen athletes during the Second World War.
